It’s finally April! While it’s thrilling to finally be in the official spring season with warmer weather, there are many other exciting things happening this month. We’re going to begin with our Polish Pickup colors. Today is all about Music City Beauty and the offering for the month, A Beautiful Start.
Overview
The theme for the April 2019 Polish Pickup is Famous Works of Art. Kim chose Monet’s “Impression, Sunrise” a her inspiration.
Monet used the port of his hometown, Le Harve, in Northwest France as the inspiration. Creating a series of six paintings featuring the port at different times of day and different viewpoints. Impression, Sunrise became the most famous when it was debuted in April 1874 at an exhibition in Paris. While hastily choosing a name for the catalogue, Monet, used the word impression to describe the painting due to its hazy painting style and is said to be the start of the Impressionist Movement. The painting is still currently on display at the Musée Marmottan Monet.
Music City Beauty captured the essence of this painting while creating A Beautiful Start. The shimmer of the polish makes you think of a sunrise against the blue sky of the creamy base. There are no issues to report with formula or with the application.
Release Information: A Beautiful Start will be available starting Friday, April 5th at 11:00 am eastern time. There is a cap of 70 bottles for the US site and 5 bottles for the UK site while it will be priced at $12.50. The sale will end on Monday, April 8th at 11:59 pm eastern time.

This turquoise with a hint of mint crelly features a red to gold shifting shimmer that would make Monet proud! Hopefully my nail art will also make him proud, using his painting as inspiration I did a little impressionism recreation using the dry brush technique. Leave me a comment and tell me what you think!
