You guys!! I am so excited to share this collection! The October Sassy Sauce Polish Fantasy Fandom Collection is all about STAR WARS!! If you attended the Minneapolis Polish Con back in September, you were able to see this collection and grab it for yourself. For those of us who sadly missed the event, it is time to make them yours!

I don’t know if many of you know this about me but I’m a big ol’ geek. I love to cosplay and have even created a costume and dressed up as a Jedi when they released Episode 1. This collection spoke to my heart since Star Wars is one of my favorite fandoms. I was over the Death Star to pull out my Star Wars stamping plate on a day other than May the Fifth.

Let’s take a look at all the colors releasing in the Fantasy Fandom Collection.

 

 

Overview

This collection will really speak to you if you are a Star Wars fan. And if you aren’t a geek (for shame!) the colors are perfect for the season. There are multiple finishes so there is a little bit for everyone. There are zero application and formula issues to report.

My Favorite: REBEL RED!! The moment I pulled this out of the box I was in love. I believe my exact wording was “holy crap!” haha. Yes it is THAT beautiful. If you are a red lover you need this, if you don’t have reds you need this! Everyone needs Rebel Red

Release Information: The Fantasy Fandom Collection will be available starting on Saturday, October 20th at 11am central time on the Sassy Sauce Polish website. Each color will be sold individually for $10 each or the full collection of seven for $60 plus free shipping when using the code FREESHIP60.

 

Cranky Pumpkin

Ok, so this is technically not a Star Wars color. As the collection was behind finalized Carrie’s daughter told her she had to do a pumpkin inspired polish. Crank Pumpkin was born. This is a light copper orange crelly with fiery orange, red and pink shifting flakes and a golden shimmer. Cranky Pumpkin has beautiful coverage, opaque in two coats and dries to a shiny finish. Of course, I have to bring it back around to Star Wars! The Death Star, although an powerful weapon, was easily foiled. I’m sure that made Vader and team upset and maybe a little bit … cranky. Ok maybe it’s a stretch but Cranky Pumpkin is my AKA Death Star.

Boba Don’t Fett

This polish is inspired by the coolest bounty hunter Boba Fett. An unaltered clone of the most skilled merc Jango Fett. Unlike the other altered Clone Army, Boba was raised as Jango’s son and has the skills to be a memorable baddie. This murky olive if packed with fiery gold and red microflakes. The green matches the color (albeit scratched up from use) of his helmet and the flakes are inspired by his rifle bursts. If I hadn’t fallen in love with Rebel Red instantly, this would’ve been my favorite. I just love these olive colors especially with shimmery finish. Boba Don’t Fett is opaque in two coats and dries to a shiny finish.

Rebel Red

“We need a flag to rally behind. A symbol. A symbol of hope.” ―Leia Organa

The Rebel Alliance Starbird became that symbol of hope seen on pilot helmets and on members of the Resistance uniforms. It was a symbol of the Alliance to Restore the Republic and even incorporated in the New Republic’s insignia. Rebel Red is a metallic red jelly. Even though this is a jelly base the coverage is amazing. The first coat gives great coverage and it is opaque in two coats. On it’s own it dries to a satin like finish and the metallic effect gives off a gorgeous shimmer. I love this in both the glossy and matte top coats. For the nail art I left Rebel Red matte and adding some glossy stamping.

Yo DUHH

Going to love this polish, you are! Rumor has it, this polish contains the same pigment that was used in Master Yoda’s set makeup. Yo DUHH is a bright green with remnants of green light from rockets and some golden sparkle. Another polish with great coverage on the first coat. Perfectly opaque in two coats and dries to a shiny finish. Maybe the pigment will give you Jedi powers!

Trooper Sauce

Stormtroopers are soldiers of the Galactic Empire. Often made fun of because they shoot a lot but can’t seem to hit a target! Even if their aim isn’t top notch they are still the main ground force for the Empire. This milky white has large black glitters and some shimmery green shards from their blasters. Trooper Sauce dries to a matte finish and has full coverage in two coats.

See 3 P’s and an O

C-3PO is one of the droids you are looking for! He is a humanoid robot built by none other than Darth Vader himself when he was a sweet little boy named Anakin. The prim and proper droid, often speaking without thinking and having an oblivious nature, always adds some entertainment to every situation no matter how dire. His golden finish is perfectly captured in See 3 P’s and an O! This golden metallic is packed with holographic glittery shards. It dries to a metallic finish and needs a third coat to be fully opaque. Looking at the swatch photos you may think the polish dries textured but it does not. A single coat of QDTC and the polish is super smooth.

R to the D to…

This is definitely the droid you are looking for! C-3PO’s partner in crime, R2-D2, is by far a fan favorite and Carrie’s #1 fave on wheels.  We might not always understand what our droid friend is saying but he always gets his point across. We also can’t help but laugh and give a big aww when he lets out his shrieks when being zapped. R2 has carried many critical messages and is an important part of the Star Wars universe. The story wouldn’t be the same without him and neither would the Fantasy Fandom Collection. This silver linear holographic polish has blue shifty flakies and blue glitter. R to the D to… is opaque in two coats and dries to a shiny finish.
