I have for you Forty Winks’ contribution to the March Polish Pickup. The theme for March is Books and Erika picked The Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard as her inspiration. In the book the world is divided by blood – red or silver. The Reds are commoners ruled by the Silver who possession superpowers. Mare is member of the Scarlet Guard who, despite her Red blood, discovers she possesses a power of her own that threatens to change the world as they know it.

Erika drew inspiration from the colors echoed within the story, red and silver for the bloodlines, purple for Mare’s lightning, red for the Scarlet Guard, to bring us “Little Lightning Girl”. This gorgeous earring and pendant set is made using six different indie polishes. Erika worked really hard to help those of us with metal sensitivities. Although these are not 100% sterling silver, like she had hoped, they are sterling silver plated. I am sensitive to nickel so I took the plunge and gave these a full test to see if I had an reactions. I wore the earrings for 72+ hours straight and did not have any allergic reactions! The earrings will be available in two sizes, all the details will be listed below. In my pictures I am wearing the larger 14 mm size.
