This afternoon we’re looking at Static Lacquer for the April 2019 Famous Works of Art themed Polish Pickup. Stacy chose some artwork from a new to me artist and Goodnight Lava is the result.
Two blog posts in one day is totally crazy right?! The last couple of weeks I’ve been making sure I have all the things done before my Polish Con trip. Next thing I know, it’s time to go! So, two posts in one day to make sure you have plenty of time to ogle all the pretties and make your shopping lists.
Overview
Alex Pardee is the artist behind Goodnight, Lava. Self described as “brightmares,” Alex’s images are vivid in color and extremely unique. It’s hard to see the darkness considering how bright and colorful the painting is but when you take close look you can see the many layers. In fact, I could see this painting being the topic of a lengthy discussion.
Release Information: Goodnight Lava will be available starting Friday, April 5th at 11:00 am eastern time. There is a cap of 75 bottles for the US site and 5 bottles for the UK site while it will be priced at $12. The sale will end on Monday, April 8th at 11:59 pm eastern time.

A glossy flakie topper consisting of a clear base with holographic flakies and ucc flakies which fittingly captures the vivid colors of the inspiration painting.
